You can make your air forks more progressive and tune them to bottom out less harshly by using air volume spacers.

When you buy a suspension fork, you buy it off the shelf. You can have the most expensive – the best – fork, but it's still not going to be tuned for you. Air volume spacers allow you to do that. The process of fitting them is quite simple – all you need is the spacers and couple of tools that are likely already in your toolbox.
The advantage of doing this is the tune-ability. You can make your very nice, off the shelf, fork work exactly how you'd like it to, and we think there's a lot to be said for that.
Do you use air volume spacers? Let us know in the comments.
