The main objective of the meeting was to present to the stakeholders the main premises of the SEAPLANSPACE project as well as acquaint the general public with actions which are being undertaken in the project. The meeting was organised in order to inform about the future initiatives, including the organisation of SEAPLANSPACE workshops in sustainable marine governance and Marine Spatial Planning, the preparation of SEAPLANSPACE Manuals and SEAPLANSPACE Web Portal.
The meeting had provided participants with information on challenges connected with sustainable marine governance and forthcoming introduction of Marine Spatial Plans as well as responses to those challenges prepared by the SEAPLANSPACE Project experts. The 1st Joint Meeting was also an opportunity for integration of stakeholders, engaged in marine governance processes as well as anyone interested in blue economy.
