First it was issues with overtime, now Baltimore fire officials are upset over shortages in the emergency medical services system that union heads say will ultimately lead to a tragedy. According to fire officials, because of the high number of EMS calls in the city, critical alerts are being issued every day. That means personnel normally on a fire truck serve as an EMS team.
